Join us on 23 February 2022, between 2PM – 3PM, to explore the world of Islamic Fintech and discover how you can apply it in your business. Gain insights from Islamic Fintech leaders and learn about the latest trends, opportunities and direction of the Islamic Fintech industry in Malaysia. The session will also include case studies of notable Islamic Fintech startups and how they have incorporated Shariah-compliant structures into their products and services.

Our Speaker

Ruslena Ramli, Director of Fintech and Islamic Digital Economy at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)

Ruslena is an Islamic Finance advocate with 20+ years of experience. Her banking repertoire includes corporate strategy, advising on sukuk/bond issuances, as well as development of Islamic banking products. She is an avid speaker in local and international Islamic Finance conferences. She brings to MDEC her expertise in Shariah-compliant structures and established relationships with Islamic finance communities locally and abroad. Ruslena holds a BA (Honors) in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University of London and a Master’s Degree in Islamic Finance from International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF).

Objectives

  • Identify the relevant problem statements and opportunities in the local and regional Islamic Fintech space
  • Learn the step by step approach in incorporating Shariah-compliant products/services into your existing business
  • Gain valuable insights on how your business can benefit from the incorporation of Islamic Fintech, eg. growing a bigger customer segment, target Shariah funds etc
